Product performance
Burn Gel Dressing is impregnated with a 90% purified water, water-soluble gel. Sterilized by gamma radiation and with a 5-year shelf life, the dressing acts by drawing heat away from the skin surface preventing the heat from progressing deeper into the skin. The Burn Dressing also helps to relieve pain and protects the surface of the burn against airborne contamination.
Instructions for use
If it is a liquid chemical that caused the burn, the skin must be washed with cold water for approximately 15 – 20 minutes. If it is a powder chemical that caused the burn, this must be brushed off, then washed with cold water for approximately 15 – 20 minutes. Then follow the instructions as per the heat burn above.
